The Intercultural Community Worker for Families and Youth Protection (ICI FPJ) works with immigrant families:
- To INFORM them about the laws of Youth Protection (DPJ),
- To RAISE AWARENESS about how the system and available resources work,
- To SUPPORT and REFER them in case of family difficulties,
- FACILITATE WORKSHOPS on parenting.
OUR FREE WORKSHOPS / SUPPORT GROUPS:
- ESPACE PARENTS: A 9-sessions Serie on parenting being an immigrant in Quebec. ONLY IN FRENCH.
- FAMILY RESOURCES: Presentation of the public and community resources for families in Granby and the surrounding area.
- FATHERHOOD: Activity only for fathers, on the challenges and opportunities being an immigrant father in Quebec.
- HOW TO DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY? Positive Parenting: Tips and tricks to support children’s development.
